The Galactic Senate has rolled out the "Transgalactica Decree" to expand its knowledge and sway beyond the known edges of the galaxy. Every planet has sent fleets to the stars seeking adventure, wealth, and () a powerful position in the governing bodies that exist past familiar space.

Transgalactica is a game that combines worker-placement and engine-building featuring lots of player interaction. To succeed in this game, you'll explore the galaxy's distant corners, boost your fleet's clout in all galactic issues, vie with other fleets for tech upgrades, set up a trade network, and maybe even get your people into the Galactic Senate for political perks.

The game consists of five rounds. During each round, players have their Captains carry out strong actions on their own operations panel. After that other players can follow suit by taking the same action with their crew, but they don't get a bonus. Step by step, players boost their military strength political sway, or tech level, and score victory points through exploring, trading, mining or finishing missions.
