The Tyrrell 021 was the teams entry for the latter half of the 1993 Formula One season. Designed by Mike Coughlan and powered by a Yamaha 3.5-liter V10 engine, it featured a sleek carbon-fibre monocoque chassis and high-downforce aerodynamics. Driven by Ukyo Katayama and Andrea de Cesaris, the 021 made its debut at the British Grand Prix and competed in eight races. While it struggled to achieve points on track, the 021 is remembered as a striking example of early-90s F1 engineering and the last generation of purely mechanical Grand Prix machines before the widespread adoption of electronic driver aids.
