The KF-5E Jegong-Ho (Air Superiority Variant) is a South Korean variant of the American F-5E, in service with the Republic of Korea Air Force. The F-5E Tiger II is a twin-engine, single-seat, lightweight tactical fighter. The E-model is essentially an improved F-5A with more powerful J85 engines, leading-edge extensions, longer fuselage, and a radar. The first F-5E Phantoms entered Korean service in 1974.
