Blood Bowl Resurrection Tournament

Nuffle is watching, coaches! Gather your team, bribe the ref, and prepare for a day of brutal fantasy football. Grognard Games Batavia is proud to present The Grognard Cup, a 3-Round Resurrection Style Tournament.

Because this is a Resurrection event, all injuries will be healed between games by our world-renowned (and highly overpaid) healers. Your players will be fresh and ready to go for the next round, no matter how many times they get fouled in the previous one.

• Format: 3 Rounds, One-Day Resurrection

Rules & Team Building

We will be using the Blood Bowl Second Season (2025) Rule Set along with the latest GW FAQ and Designers Commentary. All races found in the Rulebook and Spike Magazines are legal.

Team Construction:

• Budget: 1,200,000 Gold pieces.

• Purchasing: You may purchase Players, Rerolls, Fan Factor, Coaches, Apothecaries, Cheerleaders, and Inducements.

• Minimums: Your roster must include 11 players before any Star Players or Inducements are added.

• Skills & Tiers: The number of skills your team is allowed depends on your team's tier level. Please reference the Tier Chart on the Warhammer Community Downloads page.

• Reference: See pages 111113 of the 2025 Main Rulebook for all matched play team building rules.

The "Imposter" Star Player Rule: Because of the money generated by Star Players attending games, owners have been paying actors to wear costumes and make appearances to help generate additional revenue. Due to this new scam, many teams have been swindled out of their money believing they have hired the real deal!

• The Rule: If both teams on a pitch have induced the same Star Player on their roster, neither team is allowed to field that Star Player during their game.

Schedule

• 10:30 AM: Check-in

• 11:00 AM: Round 1 Kickoff

• 1:15 PM: Lunch Break

• 2:15 PM: Round 2

• 4:30 PM: Round 3

• 6:45 PM: Awards Ceremony

Scoring & Awards

We are playing for glory! The better your performance in each game, the more points you receive.

Tournament Points:

• Win: 3 Points

• Draw: 1 Point

• Loss: 0 Points

• Bonus: +1 Point for scoring 3+ Touchdowns

• Bonus: +1 Point for causing 3+ Casualties

Prizes:

• 1st Place: Best Win/Loss Record (Tiebreaker: Best Overall Score)

• Stunty Cup: Best Win/Loss Record using a Tier 4 Team

• Wooden Spoon: Worst Win/Loss Record (Tiebreaker: Worst Overall Score)

• Best Sportsmanship: Player with the most votes for sportsmanship
